We're highlighting two organizations in Richmond that lead the effort to fight hunger in our area. The Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center (CFBOC) addresses food insecurity across Chesterfield County, VA, providing essential food assistance and empowering families through education and resources. CFBOC distributes food multiple times a week and offers programs tackling the root causes of hunger, including: ​ Food Outreach Programs Packing Summer Kid’s Food Senior Food Program Food for Fur Babies Emergency Food Program Community Kitchen Program Partners Program ​ CFBOC is also active in community outreach, resource, volunteer, and community service programs. Feed More is a nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger in Central Virginia. Feed More distributes nutritious meals to individuals and families in need through a network of partner agencies, including food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters.

Recently, Feed More expanded to a new facility in Henrico County to enhance its capacity to address food insecurity in Central Virginia. This growth includes a 25% increase in shelf-stable food storage, five times the freezer space, and a state-of-the-art community kitchen that allows the preparation of 15,000 fresh meals weekly.

Feed More works with over 250 non-profit organizations, including:

RESIDENTIAL SPOTLIGHT

Look at this gorgeous patio! The surface consists of natural stone tiles that can accumulate dirt, organic debris, and grime, dulling their natural luster and creating a slippery, hazardous layer.

The power washing process lifts and removes layers of dirt and grime, restoring the surface to its original vibrant colors and smooth texture. By removing harmful buildup, our services enhance the aesthetic appeal, improve safety, and preserve the integrity of stones like these.

COMMERCIAL PROJECT SPOTLIGHT

This transformation highlights a project that needed more than routine cleaning—it needed restoration. In addition to the usual accumulation of grime on concrete surfaces, asphalt footprints had been tracked across the concrete sidewalks, creating an unexpected mess that required quick action.

The before-and-after images demonstrate the dramatic impact of a restorative power wash. Our team stepped in with a restorative power washing, removing the asphalt prints, grime, and dirt.

The surface now looks fresh, bright, and welcoming, ready to welcome visitors again with a clean entrance.

This project demonstrates how regular and restorative power washing can ensure commercial spaces maintain a positive, professional appearance, even when unforeseen challenges occur.

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: JENRY

This month, we’re thrilled to spotlight Jenry, a dedicated and hardworking member of the Envirowash family.

Outside of work, he finds peace in visiting parks, mountains, or beaches, where he enjoys quiet moments of reflection. Sundays are for soccer, a sport he loves, and cherished video calls with his parents, who live back in his home country. Staying connected with his family is a priority, as they are his greatest motivation every day.

Jenry's favorite food is pupusas—a delicious reminder of his roots. His dream is to one day return to his home country, reunite with his loved ones, and bring happiness to his family by building a home and starting his own business. Until then, he works tirelessly to ensure his family has everything they need.

We appreciate his dedication to his work, family, and goals.
