The mornings are getting cooler, the days a little shorter, and fall is slowly making its way to Richmond. September is that sweet spot where we can still enjoy the outdoors, while also starting to think about the prep work that keeps our homes and properties looking good through the seasons ahead. This month, we are sharing a couple of great transformations, including a beautiful pool and patio refresh that brought a backyard back to life, and a local club cottage where we helped restore the clean, welcoming look that members and guests expect. We’ve also included a few timely tips for fall, an Ask the Expert Q&A, and a spotlight on one of our team members you may already know from a friendly phone call. As always, thanks for letting us be part of keeping Richmond’s homes and businesses looking their best. We’re here when you’re ready for a seasonal touch-up or want advice on how to care for your property the eco-friendly way.
This month, we're highlighting a pool and patio area that had accumulated heavy staining, algae buildup, and surface dullness, exposing darkened tile lines and stone pavers with uneven discoloration. Our team began by thoroughly cleaning the patio and coping, using controlled pressure and specialized detergents to gently remove organic growth without damaging the stone. The pool interior and waterline tile were also carefully treated, restoring brightness and eliminating algae. The new finish brings out the subtle veining in the stone pavers. Furthermore, the fire pit area, once dulled by dirt and debris, now blends seamlessly with the rejuvenated patio. The transformation was striking with crisp, even-colored stone and refreshed grout lines. COTTAGE AT KINLOCH GOLF CLUBKinloch’s signature guest cottages make a lasting first impression on members and their guests. Over time, the natural stonework and stucco had weathered, softening the building’s sharp architectural details. In addition to routine cleaning for maintenance, we were also washing to provide proper surface preparation before the cottages were painted. Our team used low-pressure cleaning to brighten the stone and stucco façades with controlled soft washing and carefully refreshed the woodwork at the main entry. The result is a crisp, welcoming exterior that reflects the same level of care Kinloch provides on the course and throughout the club.
EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: KEVELINIf you have recently called Envirowash, chances are you’ve already met Kevelin—the pleasant, welcoming voice on the other end of the line. Born and raised in Richmond, she brings not only professionalism to her role but also a warmth that reflects her close-knit family values. Kevelin is the oldest of three siblings, and family is at the center of her life. With parents originally from South America, she treasures the blend of cultures in her upbringing and works hard to support her parents as they plan for the future. Outside of work, Kevelin’s time is filled with faith, service, and community. She has been actively involved in her church’s dance ministry for over 13 years, bringing energy and joy to worship through dance. Her heart for service extends beyond Richmond—she once volunteered in Costa Rica, working with teens to help them find purpose and direction. When she’s not serving others, you’ll likely find her enjoying soccer or spending time with her family. For Kevelin, relationships matter most, and she strives daily to deepen her faith. That dedication carries into her role at Envirowash, where she meets everyone with the same kindness and attentiveness she shares with her loved ones.

August is the perfect time for a late-summer refresh—especially with the milder summer temperatures. This month, we’re highlighting a backyard retreat where we revived a stamped-concrete pool deck, paver walkway, and patio using biodegradable detergents, professional surface cleaning, and careful low-pressure rinsing for a uniform, swirl-free finish. On the commercial side, an unexpected oil spill caused a time-sensitive and challenging crisis for a busy trucking yard. Learn how our team was...
