Check out our team in action as we bring new life to a beautiful Richmond home. In this project, the real focus was the careful restoration of the property’s historic tile work. This intricate design is an eye-catching feature that had been dulled by years of carbon staining and buildup. Using a refined soft washing approach and specialized cleaning solutions, we were able to lift deep-set discoloration while preserving the integrity of the tile.

These classic Richmond porches are known for their unique patterns and craftsmanship, but they require a delicate, experienced touch. PROJECT SPOTLIGHT Deck Restoration

This month’s residential highlight features a backyard deck restoration that brought new life to a weathered space. After years of exposure to moisture and seasonal buildup, the wood showed signs of discoloration and organic growth.

We started with a controlled soft wash to safely remove dirt, algae, and old residue without damaging the wood fibers. After allowing proper drying time, we applied a fresh stain to enhance the natural appearance while adding protection against moisture and UV exposure.

The result is a clean, even finish that not only looks better but helps preserve the structure for seasons to come. Spring is the ideal time for projects like this—setting the stage for outdoor use all summer long.

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT Kanawha Fountain Cleaning

One of our standout commercial projects was the cleaning of the Kanawha Plaza fountain in downtown Richmond. This large concrete structure had built up significant staining, organic growth, and surface discoloration over time.

Our team used a controlled pressure washing process along with a reclamation system to capture and manage wastewater, which is an important step when working in public, high-traffic areas.

This project required careful coordination and attention to detail due to the size and visibility of the space. The result is a noticeably refreshed and cleaner environment, ready for increased spring and summer foot traffic.

Jonathan has been a dedicated member of the Envirowash team for the past decade, bringing hard work, positivity, and purpose to everything he does. His guiding mantra—“New Day, New Opportunity”—reflects the mindset he carries onto every job site and into his daily life.

Known for his consistency and steady approach, Jonathan takes pride in doing things the right way. Whether he’s working on a detailed residential project or supporting a large commercial job, his focus and reliability help keep everything running smoothly.

Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys the simple things—steak cooked medium, pupusas from his home country of El Salvador, and a strong cup of coffee to start the day. He’s deeply involved in his church, where he runs the soundboard and media, and he values the sense of community it brings.

Jonathan also enjoys traveling to Arkansas with family and church friends, and he finds peace in worship music, which helps him stay grounded. Above all, he treasures time with loved ones—especially during his grandmother’s annual visits from El Salvador.
